Listen to Husker Football

CFN has been bringing its members Husker football for many years.  Not too many years ago it was the only way to stay in touch with the Huskers on football Saturday’s.  Over the years Husker football has been all over the dial, from KLMO to KLZ and many places in between.  Twenty years ago CFN competed for time on small religious stations where the weekly fees paid the station’s salary.  Signals were weak and sometimes lost at sundown.

Over and over our members have told us that game broadcasts are one of the most important membership services that we provide.  Even with many of the games today on television, many members prefer to turn down the TV “noise” and listen to good old Husker announcers.

With four major Division 1 schools in close proximity to the Denver metro area, competition for strong signaled radio stations is intense.  In some cases, stations will not carry the Huskers because of pressure put on by these schools.

It is therefore an annual challenge to secure a contract for Husker broadcasts.

TV Watch Parties

CFN officially meets for every televised game at the Fox and Hound in Littleton at 8996 West Bowles Avenue.  In addition the Fox and Hound has three other sites at 4750 W. 120th Ave., Suite 900 Westminster;  5150 E. Arapahoe Road Littleton and 9239 Park Meadows Drive Lone Tree.  Husker faithful at various times have attended all four sites.

CFN conducts drawings of Husker and other donated memorabilia to funds in support of its scholarship programs.

When you walk into the Fox and Hound, you will think that you are back in Lincoln at a home game.  Maybe a bit more comfortable though.

All Fox and Hound sites offer plenty of room, pool tables, free parking and great food!  It is a fun way for you and your family to spend a game day with other Husker faithful.

Watch our home page for the latest game times and other information about the watch sites.
