I chose the University of Nebraska because it felt right.  I love the feel of the campus, I love the people, and I love the spirit.  Now that I am a Husker, so many opportunities have presented themselves to me that have shown me just how right of a fit UNL really is.

The peole at UNL are the part of the University that I like the best.  Everyone I have met is extemely nice and will do anything to help you. I love the communities within the University, especially the school support.  The engineering curriculum is very challenging and I have learned alot in one semester.

In March of 2008 I had the opportunity to make acollege visit to the University of Nebraska.  I was very impressed with the campus and what the college had to offer.  I was born in Nebraska and moved from there at the age of 5.  Mary of my relatives are still living in Nebraska and it has always felt like "home"  Both of my parents graduated from the University and were very pleased with the education they received at UNL.

After attending the University sponsored Engineering Day, which provided me the opportunity to visit camps, meet professors and other students, it simply was clear UNL is where I belong.  I loved the instructors and am excited about the qualit of educatio I obviously will receiv.  I was born in NE and have always been a Husker fan, but never really thought I'd be able to attend college there.

Jordyn Ambrosich

Senior at Cherry Creek from Aurora, CO

Through a friend who attends Nebraska, I know Nebraska is a large campus with a small campus feel and the entire school has so much spirit.  Nebraska also offers an outstanding medical program.  I want to be part of that experience and contribute as a student an athlete on the NU Swim Team.

Kelsey Yearout

I have been hearing stories about UNL from my parents and their college friends since I was very young.  I am a born and raised Husker fan!  After visiting the campus, I annot imagine myself anywhere else, I love it.

Morgan Demmel

Sophomore at UNL majoring in Broadcast and Editorial Journalism

Hometown in Colorado is Layayette

I am attending the University of Nebraska because the School of Journalism and Mass Communications ranks among the best journalism schools in the nation.  When I visited the University of Nebraska as a senior in high school, I left completely welcome and comfortable on campus.  I also have strong family ties to the University as both of my parents grew up in NE and attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

At a very early age I communicated my goal to attend college at the University of Nebraska and I have not deviated from my plan. Bob Lundeen, my grandfather, graduated from UNL as well as my mother Ruth Lundeen Miller. I'm looking forward to my Pre-Med classes, becoming a leader on campus and preparing myself for graduate school.

The University of Nebraska has an excelent International Business Program and provides an environment that will allow me to succeed and excel academically.  UNL also offers countless opportunities for extracurricular involvement in various organizations and in the Lincoln community.

Ashley Mumaugh

Sophomore at UNL Majoring in Elementary Education

Colorado Home Town is Centennial where she graduated from Smoky Hill High School

I have always wanted to be a teacher and the Nebraska College of Education and Human Services has a great program for elementary education majors.  Since we have lots of family in Nebraska and my sister at UNL, it makes Lincoln seem almost like home.  Both of my parents grew up in Omaha and attended the University of Nebraska.  After meeing all of the Husker fans at Park Meadows, I know that I am not a lonely Husker fan, but there is a huge sea of us.  Go Big Red.

I chose UNL for its high academic standards and the welcome feeling I get everytime I set foot on campus.
